By Pat Lisi/Southern Utah Vets Aid

I only knew this gentleman and Korean veteran  for a short period of time:

Arlyn Dale Jolley, 79, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in Saint George, Utah.  He was born February 24, 1932 in Leeds, Utah to Aaron Ward and Mildred McMullin.  He married Donna Rae Wallis on October 11, 1952 in St. George, Utah.

He was raised in Leeds and attended school there in a one-room schoolhouse until he was old enough to attend Woodard and then Dixie High School and Dixie College.  He served honorably in the US Army during the Korean conflict.

Upon returning from the service he worked as an electrician in Saint George, Utah.  He worked for the telephone company in Provo, Utah for a period of time installing the underground cable at BYU.  He raised his family in Cedar City, Utah and lived there for 20 years working in appliance repair and as an electrician.

Returning to Saint George, Utah in 1980, he remained there until the time of his death.  He enjoyed doing anything in the outdoors and especially tending his cattle.  He really enjoyed the simple things of life.  He was a member of the LDS church.
