To all of my fellow VVA, Chapter 961 members,
Lest we forget them, 1,660 Vietnam War heroes remain unaccounted-for!   They must not become the “forgotten-ones” in American history.  Concern for the POW/MIA issue must not be limited to America’s veteran community.   This is a National issue.  In 1998, the U.S. Congress enacted public law designating the third Friday in September as National POW/MIA Recognition Day to honor those brave Americans who were held as prisoners of war and those who are still missing.  The 83,565 brave Americans who remain unaccounted-for from past American wars.
Friday, September 21, 2012 is National POW/MIA Recognition Day — 2012.
